More Than Just Another Scrubs Giveaway
What do people working in healthcare need more than another pair of scrubs?
Probably a holiday.
So we're planning something a little different.
I'd like to invite one member of the GREENS community to Mauritius - to switch off, put their feet in the sand, swim, explore the island, eat good food, watch the sunset and simply just be for a change.
I want to open a little piece of our life here to the community that has supported GREENS.
It's less about creating another perfectly polished marketing campaign and more about doing something genuine, personal and memorable.
Because the people who spend their lives caring for everyone else deserve to be cared for too.
As GREENS continues to grow across South Africa, Mauritius and the Indian Ocean islands, I'm excited to share a little more of this life with the community that has been part of our story.
The winner will receive the following :
Return flights from JHB to MUR
PLUS 5 Nights Accommodation in a self catering apartment with beach front access
*Travel dates to be discussed and used within 7 months of the draw
*the winner is entitled to bring a plus one however they will need to cover their own travel expenses (accommodation will not be charged for the plus 1)
who, how, what, why?
A Life by the Sea
I'm Kyrah. I'm a mother, founder, designer and the heart behind GREENS.
Long before GREENS became what it is today, it began in the middle of wonderfully chaotic family life.
I started the brand from the living room of our home in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands while raising babies. The very first scrub pattern was drafted by hand on my living room floor and our earliest orders were packed around our old farm dining table between nap times, nursing and everything else that comes with motherhood.
I never set out to build one of Africa's largest scrub ranges. I simply wanted to make scrubs better - better fitting, better looking, more comfortable and more considered for the people who spend their lives caring for others.
Today, our family calls Mauritius home. I continue to design and lead GREENS from the island, raising my children by the ocean. Our days are filled with school runs, sandy feet and surfboards, cooking and cleaning, designing and building, wiping tears, watching sunsets, and trying to be present for all the ordinary moments in between.
Life isn't always easy or perfectly put together, but I'm deeply grateful for this simple little life by the sea.
Motherhood has shaped so much of who I am and how I build. It has taught me that life doesn't need to be perfect to be beautiful, that simplicity matters, and that the things we use every day should make life a little easier, softer and better. That philosophy has naturally found its way into GREENS.
Behind every order is a real person - a doctor, nurse, dentist, vet, therapist, student or healthcare professional spending their days caring for somebody else. I want what they wear to work to make their day just a little bit better.
Our scrubs are designed for real life, comfort, movement, thoughtful details, beautiful fabrics and fits that allow you to feel like yourself, even in uniform.
Proudly South African
Although I now live and work from Mauritius, GREENS remains proudly South African.
Our garments are locally made, and supporting South African manufacturing, meaningful employment and responsible production remains incredibly important to me.
GREENS is still, at its heart, a family business built on kindness, thoughtful design and a belief that the people who care for everyone else deserve to feel cared for too.
Every uniform carries a little piece of that story - from a living room floor in the Midlands to the shores of Mauritius, always proudly made in South Africa.
Our life by the sea is imperfect, busy, creative and very real and that's increasingly what I want GREENS to feel like too.
My vision remains simple:
To make exceptional workwear, thoughtfully and kindly, for people doing exceptionally important work.
With love,
Kyrah x
