At GREENS, every garment begins with intention.

We don’t mass produce our scrubs. Instead, every scrub top, pair of scrub pants, jacket, and lab coat is carefully crafted by hand, made specifically for you. This slower, more thoughtful production process allows us to create premium medical scrubs while reducing unnecessary waste and supporting local craftsmanship in South Africa.

The global fashion industry produces an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year. Much of this comes from overproduction - garments made in bulk that are never worn.

By making our scrubs to order, we produce only what is needed. This means less excess fabric, fewer unused garments, and a more responsible way of creating medical scrubs for nurses, doctors, veterinarians, therapists, and healthcare professionals.

It’s a small change that makes a meaningful difference.

If you have a specific request, such as longer sleeves, epaulette holders, or other small adjustments, our team will do their best to accommodate it. Simply send us a message and we will happily assist in bringing your ideal scrubs to life.

How Your Scrubs Are Made

Once you place your order on our website, your garment begins its journey in our South African production studio.

Our skilled sewing team carefully lays out, cuts, and stitches each piece according to your chosen style, size, colour, and fit. Every seam, panel, and pocket is assembled with attention to detail and durability.

If you have selected embroidery, your garments are then sent to our embroidery department where names, titles, or logos are professionally stitched onto the fabric.

Before your scrubs leave our studio, each piece is carefully inspected by our quality control team to ensure it meets our standards for comfort, durability, and craftsmanship. Your order is then packed and prepared for delivery.

Our standard production lead time is approximately 15 working days, with embroidery orders occasionally requiring a few additional days. For bulk orders, this lead time is expected to be longer - please contact us at hello@greensmedi.co.za for an estimated production length.
